What makes us different from other laser centers?

        All of our treatments are performed by experienced physicians ,

How does the laser work to remove hair?

       This laser works by directing the invisible light from the laser tip through the skin. The light is then

absorbed by the hair follicle which becomes unable to grow new hair. The laser used for hair removal is

 best absorbed by brown pigment and therefore darker colored hair is easier to remove than light

colored hair.

How does the laser work for facial rejuvenation and to tighten the skin?

       This laser causes closure of the fine capillaries that cause the face to appear red, and also causes

formation of new collagen under the skin, making the skin look younger and reducing fine wrinkles

 that are present. This formation of new collagen is also what causes the skin to tighten.

How does the laser work for spider vein closure? Does it work for larger veins?

       This laser causes closure of the small veins by fusing them closed. For larger varicose veins, the laser will not work well. In these cases a procedure called vein closure is needed. How many lasers do you have?

       In order to individually tailor the treatment to different skin types, we use 2 different lasers.

The 755nm Alexandrite laser works best for treating brown pigmentation and for hair removal

in light skinned individuals. The 1064 Yag laser works best for treating pink and red

areas as well for hair removal in darker skinned individuals.

How much does it cost?

      The cost varies depending on how many treatments are needed and how big an area

needs to be treated. Our prices are very competitive with all of the other laser centers in the area.

Does it hurt?

      The pulses produced by the laser for hair reduction and vein treatment cause a slight stinging

sensation  similar to a rubber band snap. To reduce this sensation we have a special cooler

which blows very cold air onto the area being treated and numbs the area. With this device,

most patients do not find the treatment uncomfortable. The energy used for the facial rejuvenation

is less, and most patients feel that the laser treatment feels similar to a warm towel being placed on

 the face.

How long do the treatments take?

       The length of time per treatment varies based on the area that needs to be treated.

 Most treatments take between 15 and 60 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

       To achieve maximal results most patients will need 4 to 6 treatments for hair removal and

facial rejuvenation. Treatment of spider veins may require fewer treatments.
